A swarm of well-healed city bankers, hedge fund managers, media personalities, artists and politicians gathered at Ella Canta, on Mayfair’s Park Lane, to learn first-hand how kidney disease continues to impact young lives. Kidney disease is a silent killer. There are three million people in the UK with it right now and there is no cure. A remarkably courageous women told the true story of risking her life to save another undergoing a complex transplant surgery that would have been impossible in the recent past. The event opened the eyes of many, and raised much needed funds, in support of Kidney Research UK, the leading charity committed to developing treatments, patient information and raising vital public awareness.
Green School Bali is a special community of learning in Indonesia. Besides the fact that there are no walls in the school, and it’s entirely made of bamboo, we featured unique hands-on learning, with focus on education for sustainability. We are here to inspire students to connect with nature and local communities, to develop holistically, with skills and competencies for the world of today and the future, to learn entrepreneurial approaches to problem solving and to make a real difference in the world as green leaders.
